Default A suggestion to ANet..

Well we all saw what happened when the economy resets from time to time..

How about instead of pricing items at bottom dollar, we price them at the maximum (ie: 999 plat) and have the traders slowly work the prices down as nobody buys them?

That's better than the current situation when people actually have the ability to HOARD in an attempt to drive up prices!

actually Believe it or not. I like this idea. it would be a pain in the butt, however it would guarantee that eventually the prices will level out at the correct prices without effecting the inventory too bad.. Max price would have to be 100k though as it is the max NPC trade ability, as you can not hold more then this in personal inventory.

Well wouldn't this just make things EVEN better for the hoarders as they could then just sell all their gatherd loot for HUGE amounts of money...?

Great idea, so instead of hoarding, everyone would be salvaging out their armour and selling the runes in order to make instant millions...

sounds ok.. but i can here it now "Great job Anet now i can't afford anything"

my suggestion, lower the price, ban everyone who buys over 50 ectos and shards at one time... that should shut some people up

I think I finally understand where my own personal idiocy about all of this economic screaming comes into play.

You all that are screaming about the economy being anal, well, is it not YOU being the dumbass, it is ME being the aforementioned idiot.

See, I look at it like this:

Once I have all of my runes and whatnot unlocked, I am one of those "stay the course" people. See, I get my sup runes unlocked from a DROP, and I keep the god damn thing. Make sense?

Most of what I see in the way of economical woe is the statements from some of you who seem to feel the need to HAVE 90 sup runes of badassness. Those things do not stack in benefit, so unless you want one of them on 4 characters, AT ALL TIMES, there really is no logical reason to bitch about not being able to afford them now is there?

Sorry, my idiotic mistake

The maximun amount of money you can hold is 100 Platinum. Your suggestion would have to be lowered to hold much gold your character can hold perhaps?

Why not just charge like 100 for all minors, 750 for all majors, and 5k for each superiors? Then if the store bought them for that much and sold back for that much, you wouldn't have to worry about getting there on time and the hoarding can stop. You won't need to buy anything if it's all the same.

Also, this game is supposedly based on skill, and I think that should mean we can freely choose how to customize if we want to sacrifice life for attributes, we should be able to do so without paying insane amounts of money.

yea but the concept would mean that the price would stabilize Down to market value and maintain inventory from looters. if the item is not selling after 3 days or so, the price comes down... True Supply and demand curve. A real world retailer does not set a price super low when they bring it to market... generally its a little higher then you might expect... then after some time the price comes down to a point people will buy it, and that becomes the market value. This is Econ 101 stuff... true his idea seemed a little high, but it is an interesting change in the way the resets would happen to protect the market inventories.

Why dont the vendors just have sales on overly expensive items like they do in RL? Just an idea.
